The Lucent Series is a complete science fiction romance trilogy with all three books available to binge-read today.
Colby Evans can leap from one country to the next in a heartbeat. She can see every sunset in every time zone in the same day. She can travel across the world in a flash. She defies gravity and physics with every breath she takes. She's tested her abilities and found them limitless.
She is the lightning. She is Lucent. And nothing can stop her.
Except him.
Theodore Ramsey isn't supposed to be able to flash like Colby. The power of travel is passed on from mother to daughter in their people. Except once in every hundred generations.
Theo is the one.
He can flash like Colby. And it makes him a target to their enemies and to himself. His abilities change everything he knows about life and throws his future into an uncertain tangent. In fact, the only thing certain in his life is the love he feels for Colby.
Their love defies time and space and has been the only constant thing in their lives since childhood. But even their infallible love will be stretched to its limits.
She will risk her life to protect him. But he will risk everything to protect them all.
The Lucent Series is perfect for fans of fantasy romance adventure and science fiction romance. Also ideal for paranormal romance lovers who enjoyed sagas such as A Shade of Vampire Series by Bella Forest, the Immortals After Dark Series by Kresley Cole, The Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer, and The Black Dagger Brotherhood Series by J.R. Ward.
The Lucent Series is now complete
- Lightning Kissed
- Lightning Sealed

Lightning Kissed The Lucent Series Book 1 eBook Lila Felix
I know it's been a while but I will explain that some of that is because of health issues but a big majority of it was because from the first page of this book, I realized that I wanted to take my time getting to know this story and its characters. It is one of those books that hooked me from the first page. The settings are beautiful. They go from volcanic Hawaii to beautiful Portugal and so many other places like Tibet. If there is ever a reason to want to be a Lucent, the beautiful places they get to see would be one of the perks. Mrs. Felix describes these in vivid details from the very first page.
The characters are wonderful. I loved Theo for his gentlemanly ways. I loved Colby's impulsive nature. The other characters are well written. I love Ari, Pema, Collin and especially Rebekah. They spoke to me on an emotional level. I love them all.
The story was phenomenal. I could not ask for a better story. It was full of action and emotion. I was mentally and emotionally engaged. I found myself rooting for Colby and Theo but I also understood the hard decisions before them. I empathized. Any good story will bring these emotions to the surface. When this story ended, I asked why I hadn't started it much sooner.
So, it's safe to say that I would recommend this book for teenagers and up. There is a great deal of romance but it's clean and acceptable for all ages. It is a great book for paranormal and adventure lovers alike.

Lightning Kissed The Lucent Series Book 1 eBook Lila Felix Reviews
This book drew me in from the beginning. Lila Felix has built a fantasical world of memorable characters. Colby is a selfish, headstrong, woman. She is maddly in love with Theo, but denies herself being with him cause she thi nks it the right thing to do. Theo has powers no one has seen in a male in generations. He decides to stay away from colby to protect her. Eventually they realize that their love makes them each more whole. There also is bad guys in this story, they want to use theo and will kill if he doesnt comply. Now Theo has to make the biggest desicion of his life and losing colby might happen if he does the right thing.
Then boom, all of a sudden there might be another choice, with the help from his devient ,lost brother.I am so disappointed this turned out to be a cliffhanger, just as i was completly vested in the characters!! Please write the next one quickly!
Thank you Lila Felix for another great story!
I’m a sucker for romance and I thought this book would have plenty in it but it had more conflicted feelings and fear of commitment than love. And when one character finally admitted to loving the other and wanting to fully commit themselves to them there was issues that would mess it all up. So it was a little too dramatic for me. And the romance felt cheesy when there actually was any. I did really like the idea of people having the ability to teleport and everything. I read this book quickly because I kept thinking there would be more excitement and action but there never really was. There was one exciting part where a character died but other than that there was nothing. The death and the ending were probably the only interesting parts of the story. But I didn’t like it enough to buy the next book in the series to find out what happens next.
I had a really hard time connecting with these characters. I didn't feel that Colby was very likable. Even though she is supposed to be making decisions based on trying to protect Theodore she just comes off as selfish in my opinion. It seems like the other characters in the story are okay with her being this way because no one corrects the behavior. I also felt like this story was kind of choppy and disjointed in parts, while other parts flowed along better.
Theodore is so sweet and understanding. He is just a really good guy who wants to do the right thing as soon as he figures out what it is. My only problem with him is that he is in love with a totally selfish girl.
I am sure that there are those who will enjoy this story. It just wasn't for me. This is one series that I am okay with not knowing how it ends.
I felt like the running theme of this book was "I will follow you anywhere, person I'm trying desperately to stay away from!" I haven't felt such whiplash from a book since reading Aileen Erin's "Becoming Alpha."
I'm going to skip my analysis of the storyline and jump right into the "relationship" between Colby and Theo, which I really can't say I understand all that well. Firstly, it's been years since they have seen each other in person (as far as I've been given to understand), and as soon as they meet back up its like they've never been apart.
At the beginning of this tale, Colby strongly intended to never see Theo again, as it may but him in harms way. Meanwhile, Theo was trying his damnedest to throughly wreck Colby's plans by invading her life suddenly and refusing to let her go.
Towards the quarter marker of the book, Colby and Theo are arguing over their status as a couple, and the two of them appear to morph completely into the other person, as now THEO is arguing that they can't be anywhere near each other (despite his determination to be with her even in death) and COLBY is fighting to stay by his side (despite her resolve to stay away in order to keep him safe).
P.S. Colby noted that this was a running argument between them. What I want to know is Freaking WHEN? When during the YEARS they were apart did they have time to have this argument? Let alone REPEATEDLY??? And who was arguing for what? Because up until now it seems like Theo has been all for them staying together. Now he's arguing the opposite (kind of?). Someone explain this to me. SOMEONE!
And at this point I'm just so damned confused that I'm having a mental breakdown and I wasn't even half of halfway through the dang book! UGH. Send help.
Don't get me wrong. Despite all this, I'm still very captivated by the story unfolding before me. I'm intrigued by all the dynamics that I have not hardly begun to explore. But I'm just so confused that it makes the story hard to keep reading at times, and often I had to put it down for a couple hours whilst I regained my sanity.
I will say that this is one of the more unique stories I've ever read, filled with beings and languages I've not encountered in all my reading. For that, I highly applaud Miss Felix. And I'm fairly excited to see what lies in story for our small band of misfit travelers.
I know it's been a while but I will explain that some of that is because of health issues but a big majority of it was because from the first page of this book, I realized that I wanted to take my time getting to know this story and its characters.
